OUR ENGAGEMENTS FOR BETTER ENERGY EFFICIENCY

We have several product ranges allowing to reduce energy consumption such as:

  • fans with Effitech® motors, with between -50 to -65% of energy for the same performance1
  • canister vacuum cleaners with brushless motors, with between -40 to -50% of energy for the same performance2
  • and our eco-modes integrated in some products, with for example up to 30% energy saving for a steam iron

And we will keep continuing our efforts to reduce the energy consumption of our products.

AND HOW DO WE DO THAT IN PRACTICE?

Our research and development teams design ingenious solutions so that our products require less energy while providing same service.

Effitech® energy efficient technology

We often compare products according to their electrical power. However, at equal power, two products do not necessarily offer the same levels of performance.

Low-consumption light bulbs provide the same light intensity at a power that can be ten times lower.

The Effitech® ultra-low consumption motor of the Rowenta Turbo Silence Extreme fan allows you to achieve the same level of performance as a classic Rowenta fan with a maximum power of 55 W, while saving 65% energy*.

Energy efficiency starts at home. Discover these simple tips to help you reduce your daily energy consumption:

Smart laundry care

At the end of the wash cycle, quickly remove your clothes and hang them carefully when drying. Spending a few more seconds spreading your clothes out will save you precious minutes when ironing. Shorter ironing sessions = time and energy saved.

Save your time and energy

Your iron heats up quickly: so begin by ironing fabrics that are ironed at low temperatures first, then go on to those requiring a higher temperature. So you will optimise your time and the energy used.

Smarter heating, lighter bills

By turning down the heating by 1°C, you can reduce your energy consumption by 7%. The ideal temperature in a home is around 19°C. Don't forget to switch your room heater to "Eco" mode.

Dry faster

Wrap your hair in a towel for 10 minutes before using your hair dryer. This will make drying faster and gentler on your hair, and you will use less electricity.
