CONTRIBUTING TO REDUCE OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT TOGETHER

Our products are there to support you every day and make your life easier, but the fact is that they consume resources and energy. When we produce them and when you use them. Discover our eco-design approach and how we can act together.

What is the eco-design approach by Rowenta?

It is about offering you some products with a reduced environmental impact, without compromise in terms of performance or the services they provide for you every day.

So how do we do it?

It all starts with a better understanding of the environmental impact of our products, from the extraction of the resources needed to manufacture them, right to their end of life. To do this, we have carried our Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) on the majority of our product families.

Did you know?

For Groupe Seb products, the most significant carbon impacts come from the usage phase and the extraction of raw materials*.

Act together

Contributing to reduce the overall environmental footprint of our products is a shared approach: it is us, when we design and produce them. And it is also you, when you use them. Here are some simple actions to accompany your everyday use

Don't mess with wires

To help your appliances last longer, avoid wrapping the cord around the device after use, as the tension could damage it prematurely.

Smart laundry care

At the end of the wash cycle, quickly remove your clothes and hang them carefully when drying. Spending a few more seconds spreading your clothes out will save you precious minutes when ironing. Shorter ironing sessions = time and energy saved.

Clean regularly the filter of your vaccum cleaner

To help your appliance last longer, clean regularly the filter of your stick vaccum cleaner. An unmaintained and clogged filter can reduce the suction performance of a stick vacuum cleaner by 20% to 99%*.

*Internal tests according to IEC62 885 standard.

Smarter heating, lighter bills

By turning down the heating by 1°C, you can reduce your energy consumption by 7%. The ideal temperature in a home is around 19°C. Don't forget to switch your room heater to "Eco" mode.

Dry faster

Wrap your hair in a towel for 10 minutes before using your hair dryer. This will make drying faster and gentler on your hair, and you will use less electricity.

Second life for your broken appliances

Appliance no longer working? Instead of throwing it in the bin or leaving it at the back of a cupboard, have it repaired or take it to the nearest recycling centre!

Save your time and energ

Your iron heats up quickly: begin by ironing fabrics that are ironed at low temperatures first, then go on to those requiring a higher temperature. So you will optimise your time and the energy used.

Videz souvent, aspirez plus longtemps

Empty often, vacuum longer

Empty your vacuum cleaner bag or tank regularly (whent it's 3/4 full ) to avoid over-consumption and premature aging of the product.
